On-Board Diagnostic System Description

HVAC control module can detect malfunction, which may occur in the following area. When HVAC control module detects any malfunction in operation of air conditioning system or at the time of turning ignition switch to ON position, the A/C switch indicator lamp (1) flashes on and off for 1 minute.
- Outside air temperature sensor
- Inside air temperature sensor
- Sunload sensor
- A/C evaporator temperature sensor
- Water temperature sensor
- Temperature control actuator
- Air flow control actuator
- Temperature selector of HVAC control module
- Blower speed selector of HVAC control module
- Air flow selector of HVAC control module
DTC can be checked by either one of the following ways.
- DTC can be checked by using SUZUKI scan tool (3) connected to data link connector (DLC) (4).
- DTC can be checked by reading the flashing pattern of both A/C switch indicator lamp (1) and air intake indicator lamp (2).
