Front Strut Assembly Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Hoist vehicle, allowing front suspension to hang free.
  2. Remove wheel and disconnect stabilizer joint (1) from strut bracket.

  3. Remove brake hose mounting bolt (1) and take off brake hose (2) and then ABS wheel speed sensor harness (if equipped) from strut bracket as shown in the figure.
  4. Remove strut bracket bolts (4).

  5. Remove strut support nuts (1).
    NOTE: Hold strut by hand so that it will not fall off.

  6. Remove strut assembly.
