Maintenance Recommended under Severe Driving ConditionsCAUTION: Maintenance, replacement or repair of the emission control devices and systems may be performed by any automobile repair establishment or individual using any part which has been certified under the provisions in the Clean Air Act sec. 207. (a) (2).
Follow this schedule if your car in mainly operated under one or more of the following conditions.
^ Repeated short-distance driving less than 5 miles (10 km).
^ Extensive idling and/or slow-speed driving in stop-and -go traffic.
^ Driving on dusty roads.
^ Driving on hilly or mountainous terrain.
^ Driving in heavy city traffic where the outside temperatures regularly reach 90 °F (32 °C) or higher.
^ Driving as a taxi, police or delivery vehicle.
^ Frequent driving when outside temperature remains below freezing.
