Condenser Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Discharge and recover the refrigerant. Refer to Discharging, Adding Oil, Evacuating, and Charging Procedures for A/C System  .
  3. Remove the radiator. Refer to RADIATOR REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the discharge hose connecting block-to-condenser retaining nut.
  5. Remove the hose from the condenser.

  7. Remove the high-pressure pipe-to-receiver-dryer connecting block nut.
  8. Remove the pipe from the receiver-dryer.

  10. Remove the upper condenser mount nuts.
  11. Tilt the condenser to the rear, away from the radiator mount support.
  12. Lift the condenser up and out of the engine compartment.
  13. Cap all the open lines and the fittings to prevent contamination.
