A/C High-Pressure Pipe Line Installation

  1. Position the high-pressure pipe into the vehicle.

  3. Install a new O-ring on the pipe at the receiver dryer.
  4. Install the high-pressure pipe-to-receiver-dryer connecting block nut.
    1. Tighten the high-pressure pipe-to-receiver-dryer connecting block nut to 14 N.m (10 lb-ft).

  6. Install the high-pressure pipe- to-evaporator flauge connecting block retaining nut.
    1. Tighten the high-pressure pipe-to-evaporator flauge connecting block retaining nut to 15 N.m (11 lb-ft).

  8. Install the nut at the condenser connecting block.
    1. Tighten the condenser connecting block nut to 16 N.m (12 lb-ft).

  10. Install the nut at the compressor hose connecting block.
    1. Tighten the compressor hose connecting block nut to 38 N.m (28 lb-ft).
  11. Install the bolt and the nut which secure the clamp that hold the high pressure pipe to the vehicle.
  12. Connect the electrical connector to the pressure transducer.
  13. Install the surge tank. Refer to SURGE TANK INSTALLATION .
  14. Connect the negative battery cable.
  15. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Discharging, Adding Oil, Evacuating, and Charging Procedures for A/C System  .
