Off-Vehicle Deployment: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Suzuki Aerio. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Use following procedures when vehicle will remain in service and only SRS components are being disposed of:

Turn ignition switch to LOCK position and remove key. Remove applicable air bag module or seat belt pretensioner. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION .

WARNING: Accidental air bag or seat belt pretensioner deployment is possible. Personal injury may occur. Air bag or seat belt pretensioner will deploy immediately when power source is connected. Deployment wires must remain shorted and not be connected to power source until selected component is to be deployed. Connecting deployment wires to power source should always be the final step in deployment procedure.
