Transmission Range Sensor: Adjustment

- Shift manual lever "1" to Neutral range.
- Connect ohmmeter between No. 6 and 10 terminals of disconnected transmission range sensor connector "3".
- Turn transmission range sensor "2" gradually to find position where ohmmeter reading indicates continuity. Fix transmission range sensor "2" at that position by tightening bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Connect transmission range sensor connector "3".
- Check that engine starts in Neutral and Park ranges but it doesn't start in Drive, "2", Low , or Reverse range. Also, check that back-up lights illuminate in Reverse range. See Fig 1 .
