WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Suzuki Aerio. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

A ball fixed type constant velocity joint is used on the wheel side of front axle shaft. For A/T vehicle, a tripod type constant velocity joint is used on the differential side and center shaft side. For M/T vehicle, a double offset type constant velocity joint is used on the differential and center shaft side. The axle shaft can slide through the tripod joint or the double joint in the extension/contraction direction.
