Bleeding Procedures: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Suzuki Verona and 2004 Suzuki Forenza. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
WARNING: DO NOT allow reservoir to run dry during brake bleeding procedure. Use only clean brake fluid. Ensure no dirt or other foreign matter contaminates brake fluid. DO NOT mix different brands of brake fluid, as they may not be compatible. DO NOT spill brake fluid on vehicle, as it may damage paint. If brake fluid contacts paint, immediately wash with water.
CAUTION: If vehicle is equipped with ABS, a scan tool MUST be used to bleed hydraulic modulator. See appropriate ANTI-LOCK article.
NOTE: If no air is suspected to be in master cylinder, bleed brake lines only. If air is suspected to be in master cylinder, bleed master cylinder, then proceed to bleed brake lines.
