Retrieving Diagnostic Trouble Codes Using Tech Scan Tool

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Suzuki Aerio. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The Tech 2 scan tester (NNNNN-00003) can be used to retrieve Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's). Connect Tech 2 to Data Link Connector (DLC), located under left side of instrument panel, near steering column. Turn ignition on. Refer to Tech 2 operators manual for specific information on using the Tech 2.

NOTE: When there are 2 or more DTC's, the codes will be indicated from a smaller number to larger number in order. If there are no other codes set, DTC 12 indicates a normal condition.
