Brake Lines

  1. Remove booster reserve by applying brakes several times with engine off until all reserve is depleted. Fill master cylinder reservoir and keep it at least half full during bleeding operation.
  2. Attach transparent tube over bleeder valve on caliper and allow tube to hang submerged in a transparent container filled with brake fluid. Slowly push and hold brake pedal depressed. Avoid rapid pumping of brake pedal.
  3. With brake pedal depressed, open bleeder valve to purge air from caliper. After air bubbles have escaped into container of brake fluid, close bleeder valve. Release brake pedal and wait 15 seconds. Repeat steps 2)  and 3)  until all air is removed from caliper.
  4. Bleed brakes in sequence. See BRAKE BLEEDING SEQUENCE  table. After bleeding brakes, depress brake pedal with a force equal to an abrupt stop. If sponginess exists, repeat bleeding procedure.
