Test Description

The numbers below refer to the step numbers in the diagnostic procedures.

    If MIL turns off when PCM harness connectors are disconnected, MIL driver wiring is not at fault.

  2. 3

    If MIL driver circuit tests okay, instrument cluster is faulty.

  3. 6

    Vehicle is equipped with a Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM). When PCM is replaced, the new PCM must be programmed. See EEPROM PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE  under POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE.
