Test Description

PMC OBD II system check prompts technician to complete some basic checks and store the freeze frame and failure records data on scan tool if applicable. This creates an electronic copy of data taken when fault occurred. The information is then stored on the scan tool for later reference. - 3
When EVAP canister vent solenoid or EVAP canister purge solenoid electrical fault is present, purge system will not operate properly. Repairing fault will most likely correct condition which caused DTC P0446 to store. - 4
This step checks fuel tank pressure at ambient pressure. - 6
This step forces FVP sensor to re-zero. - 7
This step verifies that FVP sensor accurately reacts to EVAP system pressure changes. - 9
This step checks for a blocked EVAP canister. - 13
This step duplicates Powertrain On-Board Diagnostic test.
