Diagnosis & Repair Procedure

  1. If engine system check has been performed, go to next step. If engine system check has not been performed, go to A4: ENGINE SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  2. If during DTC CONFIRMATION procedure DTC P2227 was also retrieved, go to next step. If no other DTCs were retrieved, substitute a known-good ECM, and repeat appropriate DTC CONFIRMATION procedure. If DTC does not reset, testing is complete.
  3. Check MAP sensor operation. See DTC P0107 OR DTC P0108 . If MAP sensor does not test as specified, replace MAP sensor. If MAP sensor tests as specified, substitute a known-good ECM, and repeat appropriate DTC CONFIRMATION procedure. If DTC does not reset, testing is complete.
