Removal (Grand Vitara, Vitara & XL-7)
CAUTION:
As ECM (PCM) consists of precision parts, be careful not to expose it to excessive shock.
- Disconnect battery negative cable from battery.
- Disable air bag system. See DISABLING AIR BAG SYSTEM in appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT article.
- Remove ECM (PCM) cover (1) from bracket. See Figure
.
- Disconnect connectors from ECM (PCM) (1).
- Remove ECM (PCM) (1) with bracket (2). See Figure
