Transfer Shift Control Lever Removal and Installation: Installation

If control lever locating bolts (1) are replaced or retightened, torque them as specified below.
Replacing of control lever locating bolts (1) requires thread lock cement.

"B": Cement 99000-32020

Tightening torque
1. Transfer control lever locating bolt (a): 17 N.m (1.7 kg-m, 12.5 lb-ft)
Apply grease to pivot portion and seat, then install transfer shift control lever.
1. "A": Grease 99000-25010

Set shift control lever (2) to shift lever case.
With gear shift control case cover (1) pushed down by hand, turn gear shift control case cover (1) to clockwise.

Install boot No. 1 (1) from inside of cabin and clamp it with a new clamp (2) securely.

Install boot No. 2 (2) with boot cover (3) and console box bracket (1).

Install console box.
NOTE: Be sure that flare end of transmission boot No. 3 is engaged with console box.
After fitting boot No. 3 (1) to covers (2), install covers (2) to center console boxes.
