Removal & Installation

Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
Remove screws from center console rear section and remove rear section. See Fig 1. Remove screws from front section of center console and remove front section. Disconnect electrical connector from SDM. Remove 3 bolts from SDM. Remove SDM from vehicle.
To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure arrow on SDM is pointing toward front of vehicle. Tighten SDM bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
