WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Suzuki XL-7, 2002 Suzuki Vitara, and 2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Remove rear bumper facing to access sending unit connector. On all models, disconnect harness connector from fuel gauge sending unit. Connect a 12-volt, 3.4-watt bulb (light) between ground and Blue/White wire at fuel gauge sending unit harness connector. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Ensure bulb lights and fuel gauge needle fluctuates several seconds later. If fuel gauge does not function as specified, check fuses, wiring, connectors and instrument panel circuit board. If these components check okay, replace fuel gauge.
