DTC P0500: Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Malfunction: Condition

DTC is set when ECM (PCM) detects no vehicle speed signal input with vehicle decelerating (fuel cut) for 4 seconds. Possible causes are:
- VSS malfunction.
- VSS drive gear or driven gear malfunction.
- Speedometer malfunction.
- If equipped, cruise control module malfunction.
- ECM (PCM) malfunction.
