Power Steering Pump Removal & Installation: Installation

Reverse removal procedure, and then noting the following instructions.

NOTE:

Using the following specified torques, tighten bolts and nuts (a), (b), (c), (e), (f) and (h), see Figure.
Tightening torque
1. Pump union bolt (a): 60 N.m (6.0 kg-m, 43.5 lb-ft)
2. Pump bracket bolt (b): 25 N.m (2.5 kg-m, 18.5 lb-ft)
3. Pump mounting bolt (c): 25 N.m (2.5 kg-m, 18.5 lb-ft)
4. Pipe clamp bolt/reservoir bracket bolt (e): 11 N.m (1.1 kg-m, 8.0 lb-ft)
5. Gear box high pressure pipe union bolt (f): 35 N.m (3.5 kg-m, 25.5 lb-ft)
6. High pressure flare nut (if used): 40 N.m (4.0 kg-m, 29.0 lb-ft)
7. Gear box low pressure pipe union bolt (h): 40 N.m (4.0 kg-m, 29.0 lb-ft)
Adjust P/S pump drive belt, see DRIVE BELT ADJUSTMENTS .
Fill specified power steering fluid after installation and bleed air without failure. See POWER STEERING SYSTEM AIR BLEEDING PROCEDURE .
