EVAP Canister Vent Valve Inspection

  1. Check EVAP canister vent valve for damage.
  2. Check resistance between 2 terminals of EVAP canister vent valve. If resistance is as specified, proceed to next step. If not, replace.
    1. EVAP canister vent valve resistance:  25 - 30° at 20°C (68°F)

  3. Blow into hose "A". Air should come out of hose "B".
  4. Connect 12 V-battery to EVAP canister vent valve terminals. In this state, blow hose "A".

    Air should not come out of hose "B". If check result is not specified above, replace EVAP canister vent valve.
