Removal (Vitara)

  1. Relieve fuel pressure according to FUEL PRESSURE RELIEF  .
  2. Disconnect battery negative cable at battery.
  3. Remove PCV hose and breather hose.
  4. Disconnect coupler (1) from each injector. See Figure .
  5. Remove clamp bolt (1) for fuel feed pipe and return pipe. See Figure .
  6. Remove fuel delivery pipe bolts.
  7. Remove fuel injector(s) (1) from delivery pipe (2) and intake manifold or cylinder head. See Figure .
    WARNING: A small amount of fuel may be released when fuel injector is removed. In order to reduce the chance of personal injury, cover than with a shop cloth.
