Daytime Running Light (D.R.L.) System Description

The D.R.L. system lights the headlights, though dimmer than the low beam, when the following 3 conditions are all met:

Conditions for D.R.L. system operation 

• The engine is running.
• The parking brake is not applied.
• The headlight switch is at either "OFF", "SMALL" or "AUTO".
