Engine & Emission Control System

When hoses are disconnected and system components are removed for service, properly reinstall components and correctly route and connect hoses after service. See Fig 1

Vehicles are equipped with an engine and emission control system that is under the ECM's control. See Fig 5 -Fig 7 . The engine and emission control system shares a close relationship in structure and operation with the engine mechanical, engine cooling system, ignition system, exhaust system, etc. The engine and emission control system has four major sub-systems: air intake system, electronic control system, emission control system, and fuel delivery system.
