DTC Confirmation Test

Ensure intake air temperature is 18°F (-8°C) or more, engine coolant temperature is 18-230°F (-8-110°C), vehicle is at an altitude of 8000 feet or below, engine coolant temperature is at 18-230°F (-8-110°C), fuel tank is 1/4 full or more, and barometric pressure is 75 kPa or more. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect SUZUKI scan tool or equivalent to DLC. See Figure . Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Start engine and drive vehicle at 35 MPH or more for 20 minutes. Stop vehicle and let engine idle for 1 minute or more. Using scan tool, check for current or pending DTC. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If DTC P0441 resets, see DIAGNOSIS & REPAIR PROCEDURE  .
