Front Disc Brake Pads: Removal

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Mark position of front wheel relative to wheel hub to preserve wheel balance. Remove front wheel.
  2. Remove lower caliper sliding pin, and loosen upper caliper sliding pin. Rotate caliper upward, without disconnecting flexible brake line from caliper.
  3. Remove brake pads. Measure pad thickness. Replace pads if not within specification. See DISC BRAKE SPECIFICATIONS .
