Oil Pressure Sending Unit

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Suzuki XL-7, 2002 Suzuki Vitara, and 2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Ensure oil pressure is within specification before proceeding with this test. Replace oil pressure sending unit if any signs of oil leakage exist.

Disconnect oil pressure sending unit connector. Using DVOM, check for continuity between sending unit terminal and ground. Continuity should exist with engine stopped. Continuity should not exist with engine running. If continuity is not as specified, replace sending unit.
