System Operation Check

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Suzuki XL-7, 2004 Suzuki Vitara, 2004 Suzuki Verona, 2004 Suzuki Grand Vitara, and 2004 Suzuki Forenza. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Turn ignition switch to ON position. On Aerio and XL-7, if system is functioning normally, AIR BAG indicator should flash 6 times. On Forenza, Grand Vitara, Verona and Vitara, if system is functioning normally, AIR BAG indicator should flash 7 times. On all models, if air bag warning light does not come on, stays on steady or keeps flashing after flashing 6 or 7 times, there is a fault in the air bag system.
