Removal & Installation (Esteem)

Disconnect negative battery cable. Disable air bag system. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. Open glove box. Push in on stoppers while pulling glove box out from instrument panel. See Fig 1 . Remove ECM bracket-to-body bolts. Disconnect ECM harness connectors. Release air bag harness coupler clamp from ECM bracket (if equipped). To install, reverse removal procedure.
