Method No. 1

  1. Place transmission selector lever in Neutral. Remove selector lever from automatic transmission mode switch. Remove cover from mode switch.
  2. Loosen (2) 10 mm screws securing mode switch. Rotate mode switch until slot in housing on gear position switch aligns with selector shaft bushing. Insert a 3/32" punch into slot. See Fig 1 .
  3. Tighten mode switch retaining bolts to 113 INCH lbs. (13 N.m). Install shift lever on mode switch and tighten shift lever nut. Install mode switch cover on gear position switch. Install heat protector.
