Removal & Installation

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disconnect negative battery cable. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Open glove box door and release side stops. Remove glove box. Disconnect passenger-side air bag module connector. Remove bolt and screws securing passenger-side air bag module to instrument panel. See Fig 1. Remove passenger-side air bag module.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten air bag module bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
