DTC Confirmation Test

Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect SUZUKI scan tool or equivalent to DLC, located below left side of instrument panel. See Figure . Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. see CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Start engine and allow it to idle for 10 seconds or more. Using scan tool, check for current or pending DTC. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If same DTC P0123 resets, see DIAGNOSIS & REPAIR PROCEDURE  .
