Evaporator Temperature Sensor / Switch: Description and Operation

A/C Evaporator Inlet Air Temperature Sensor and A/C Evaporator Outlet Air Temperature Sensor Construction
These sensors send the signals of the A/C evaporator inlet and outlet air temperatures to ECM. And, ECM controls the A/C operation as follows.
- ECM calculates the A/C ON/OFF operation temperature by comparing the A/C evaporator inlet air temperature with the A/C evaporator outlet air temperature. And, ECM controls A/C ON/OFF using the A/C ON/OFF operation temperature.
- In DEF/FOOT or DEF air flow mode, ECM turns off the A/C operation by detecting the A/C evaporator outlet temperature at less than 2.5 °C (36.5 °F). (The A/C operation come back at more than 4 °C (39.2 °F)).
