DTC P1702 (No.52): Internal Malfunction of TCM

DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area






DTC Confirmation Procedure

1) Connect scan tool to DLC with ignition switch OFF.
2) Clear DTCs in TCM and ECM memories by using scan tool.
3) After passing 10 seconds from turning ignition switch ON, check DTC, pending DTC and freeze frame data.

DTC Troubleshooting

1.
Is there DTC P1702 / DTC No.52 after performing "DTC Confirmation Procedure"?
YES
Replace TCM.
NO
Could be a temporary malfunction of TCM.
