BCM-Meter Signal Circuit Inspection: Notes

NOTE:
- When BCM-Meter signal circuit is malfunction, combination meter indicates the following condition at the same time. Be sure to bear this mind when diagnosing trouble.
- Charge warning indicator keeps flashing
- DRL indicator keeps flashing
- Brake indicator keeps flashing
- Windshield washer level indicator keeps flashing
- "POWER" indicator keep flashing (H27 engine model with A/T only)
- A/T selector position indicator turns OFF (H27 engine model with A/T only)
- If charging system warning indicator, DRL indicator, Brake indicator, washer level indicator, POWER indicator (H27 engine model with A/T only) and A/T selector position indicator (H27 engine model with A/T only) display abnormal condition of BCM-METER signal circuit described in "Description", perform the following procedure.
- Check open, short to ground and short to power circuit of BCM-METER signal circuit wire harness ("YEL") between "G55-10" and "G11-8" terminals.
If OK, go to next step.
If found abnormal condition, repair circuit.
- Substitute a known-good BCM, and check that related indicator lights come to good conditions.
If found abnormal condition, go to next step.
- Substitute a known-good combination meter, and recheck that the above indicators and warning operate in normal.
