Retrieving Diagnostic Trouble Codes Using Tech 1 Scan Tool

The Tech 1 scan tool (09931-76011) and Mass Storage Cartridge (09931-76030) can be used to retrieve Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). Use 16/14 pin Data Link Connector (DLC) cable (09931-76030) to connect Tech 1 to DLC. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Refer to Tech 1 operators manual for specific information on using the Tech 1.

NOTE: When there are 2 or more Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) the codes will be indicated from a smaller number to larger number in order. If there are no other codes set, DTC 12 indicates a normal condition.
