System Operation Check

Turn ignition switch to ON position. If AIR BAG warning light flashes 6 times then turns off, air bag system is functioning properly. If AIR BAG warning light does not function as described on models with single-stage air bag modules, go to AIR BAG DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under DIAGNOSTICS. On models with dual-stage air bag modules, go to AIR BAG DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under DIAGNOSTICS (WITH DUAL-STAGE DRIVER-SIDE & PASSENGER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULES).
