Circuit Description

Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) should always be illuminated steady whenever ignition is turned on, engine not running position. Ignition voltage is supplied to MIL indicator bulb through the CB-11 METER fuse located in dash fuse box. PCM illuminates MIL by grounding the MIL driver. MIL should not remain illuminated when engine is running and no DTCs are set. A steady illuminated MIL when engine is running and DTC is set, indicates a short to ground in MIL driver circuit.
