Exhaust Gas Recirculation Test

For PCM to start and run EGR test following conditions must exist:
- Throttle position angle is less than .8 percent.
- EGR duty cycle is less than one percent.
- MAP sensor signal is steady, changing less than 2 kPa.
- Engine speed is 1100-2000 RPM (M/T) or 900-1500 RPM (A/T).
- Map sensor signal is between 10-40 kPa.
- PCM will only run EGR test during closed throttle (deceleration) conditions.
- PCM will only run EGR test at vehicle speed above 15 mph.
- Several deceleration cycles will be necessary to run a sufficient number of EGR valve flow tests.
