Circuit Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Isuzu Trooper. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Reduced Power Lamp (RPL) should be illuminated whenever ignition is turned on, engine not running position. Ignition voltage is supplied to RPL indicator bulb through the C-10 METER GAUGE fuse located in dash fuse box. PCM illuminates RPL by grounding the RPL driver. RPL should not remain illuminated when engine is running and no DTCs are stored. A steady RPL with engine running and no DTCs stored suggests a short to ground in RPL driver circuit.
