Test Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Isuzu Trooper. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The numbers below refer to the step numbers in the diagnostic procedures.

  1. 4

When engine is idling or at steady cruise, HO2S voltage should vary between about 100-900 millivolts. It is possible to measure a satisfactory fuel pressure at idle even though pressure may drop at high flow requirements. It may be necessary to watch fuel pressure at high engine load.
  2. 5

Wrap a shop towel around the fuel pressure connector to absorb any small amount of fuel leakage that may occur when installing gauge. When ignition is on, pump pressure should be 280-320 kPa.
  3. 7

Be careful to use correct pliers so fuel lines will not be damaged.
