Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) consists of an AIR BAG warning light, also known as an SRS warning light, driver-side and passenger-side air bag modules, front impact sensors, driver and passenger seat belt pretensioners, driver and passenger side impact air bag modules, side impact sensors, clockspring and SRS Electronic Control Unit (SRS ECU). SRS ECU contains safing and analog "G" sensors.
Front air bags and seat belt pretensioners are designed to deploy in a frontal or near frontal impact of moderate to severe force. Side impact air bags are designed to deploy in a side impact of moderate to severe force. SRS ECU controls deployment of all air bag modules.
