Intake Manifold: Removal

- Release fuel pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE . Disconnect battery cables. Drain cooling system. Remove strut tower cross brace. Remove surge tank cover. Remove air intake hoses. Remove air cleaner assembly, intake air pipe and surge tank. Label and disconnect electrical connectors from intake manifold, injectors and throttle body. Disconnect accelerator cable and throttle cable (A/T) from throttle body.
- Label and disconnect water, vacuum and fuel hoses from intake manifold. Label and disconnect ground straps and brackets from intake manifold. Remove EGR pipe.
- Remove throttle body and intake collector from intake manifold. Remove intake manifold-to-cylinder head bolts and nuts. Remove intake manifold and gasket.
