DTC Confirmation Test

Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect SUZUKI scan tool or equivalent to DLC. See Figure . Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. See CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Ensure engine coolant temperature is less than 86°F (30°C) at start up. Start engine and warm to 176-230°F (80-110°C). Drive vehicle at more than 35 MPH for 3 minutes or more. Stop vehicle and allow engine to idle for 3 minutes or more. Using scan tool, check for current or pending DTC. See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If DTC P2025 resets, go to DIAGNOSIS & REPAIR PROCEDURE  .
