Engine Control Module Replacement

CAUTION:
When ECM is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until adaptation systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES - SUZUKI

When substituting a known-good ECM, check for following conditions. Neglecting this check may cause damage to a known-good ECM.
- Resistance value of all relays and actuators. See SENSOR OPERATING RANGE CHARTS article.
- Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor, Throttle Position (TP) sensor and Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) sensor are in good condition, and power and ground circuits of these sensors are not shorted.
