DTC P0340: Camshaft Position Sensor - Circuit Malfunction: Reference

To test CMP sensor reference signal with an oscilloscope, backconnect oscilloscope between ECM harness connector C46 terminals No. 10 (Yellow/Red wire) and ECM harness connector C45 terminal No. 26 (Black/Orange wire). See Figure. Compare CMP sensor waveform, to waveform in illustration. See Fig 1.

To test CMP sensor position signal with an oscilloscope, backconnect oscilloscope between ECM harness connector C46 terminals No. 22 (Blue wire) and ECM harness connector C45 terminal No. 26 (Black/Orange wire). See Figure. Compare CMP sensor waveform, to waveform in illustration. See Fig 1.
