Removal (Lancer)

- Drain fuel tank into suitable container. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Raise and support vehicle. Unbolt center exhaust pipe at rear of catalytic converter and at front of muffler. Remove center exhaust pipe. See Figure.
- Disconnect fuel filler neck. See Fig 1. Remove fuel main pipe and fuel return pipe. Disconnect fuel tank harness clamp. Lower fuel tank halfway and disconnect fuel tank harness connector. Remove fuel tank assembly.
