Removal (Montero)
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander, 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport, 2003 Mitsubishi Montero, 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer, and 2003 Mitsubishi Galant. - Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE under FUEL SYSTEMS. Remove throttle body. See THROTTLE BODY .
- Disconnect EGR valve connector and evaporative emission purge solenoid valve connector. See Fig 1. Disconnect right front heated oxygen sensor connector.
- Disconnect manifold differential pressure sensor connector and capacitor connector. Disconnect knock sensor connector. Disconnect control wiring harness and Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor wiring harness combination connector. Remove ground cables. Disconnect fuel injector connectors.
- Disconnect control wiring harness and injector wiring harness combination connector. Disconnect intake manifold tuning solenoid connector and engine coolant temperature sensor connector. Disconnect engine coolant temperature gauge unit connector and crankshaft position sensor connector.
- Remove knock sensor and CMP sensor wiring harness combination connector bracket. Disconnect control wiring harness and injector wiring harness combination connector. Remove connector bracket. Disconnect PCV hose. Remove fuel pipe. Disconnect vacuum hose. Remove water outlet fitting bracket.
- Remove EGR pipe and EGR pipe gasket. Remove intake manifold plenum stay. Remove right front heated oxygen sensor connector. Remove fuel pipe clip and intake manifold plenum. Remove intake manifold plenum gasket.
