Retrieving Diagnostic Trouble Codes Using Tech Scan Tool

The Tech 1 scan tester (09931-76011) and Mass Storage Cartridge (09931-76030) can be used to retrieve DTCs. Use 16-14 pin DLC cable (09931-76030) to connect Tech 1 to DLC. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Refer to Tech 1 operators manual for specific information on using the Tech 1.

NOTE: When there are 2 or more diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) the codes will be indicated from a smaller number to larger number in order. If there are no other codes set, DTC 12 indicates a normal condition.
