System Status And Drive Cycle For Satisfying Federal Inspection/Maintenance (I/M 240) Regulations

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Isuzu Rodeo Sport, 2002 Isuzu Rodeo, 2002 Isuzu Axiom, and 2002 Honda Passport. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

I/M Ready Status means a signal or flag for each emission system test that had been set in PCM. I/M Ready Status indicates that vehicle on-board emissions diagnostics have been run. I/M Ready Status is not concerned whether emission system passed or failed test, only that on-board diagnosis is complete. Not all vehicles use all possible I/M flags.
